could use some re-designing on the speakers, they should be facing out for better sound.

Good TV with a few short commings

As others have noted I also have issues at times with a white fuzzy line across the top of the screen. Also for some reason I have to press the remote several times, and have used a couple of remotes, in order to get the TV to turn on.
Other than those 2 issues I am very happy with this product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had my TV for almost a year and it is amazing how many of my friends come over that have WAY more expensive TVs tell me that the picture looks real.

the philip television that I purchased last year has the clearest picture I have ever seen in my life. This the smartest purchase I have made in quite some time.

great t.v. with great features with ease of use great for basement
great picture with high def watching football like you are there on the field and video games put you in the game hope to get 3 d very soon can't wait till to watch baseball world championship in high def and the super bowl along with nascar great product with great features and ease of use even the kids can operate it if you want a great t.v. buy this one hooked it up to cable with high def and play station 3 and watch t.v. like you have never wacthed it before and play videos with surround sound and you will be blown away hope to get blue ray very soon and make it even better had it for a year with no problems hope it be here for a long time to come hope this will you decide that phillips makes a great product and they keep it going

I really like the TV, however two issues we have had are a green line in almost the middle of the TV about 2 inches long at times and the TV will all of a sudden turns off and then turn back on all on its own while you are watching a show. I have yet to find a reason or commonality for this.
One other issue we have is with our Phillips Sound Bar. The sound while watching a movie doesn't sync with the characters in the movie and if you have the volume up on both the TV and Sound Bar it sounds as if you are in a barrel or cave with a lot of echos.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

my only problem with the tv is that it periodicly freezes. shuts its self off
