we have had no trouble what so ever. Everything works as advertised have bought another of all Phillips products we ever bought would recomend them to anyone. Every feature is easy to use and set up was a snap.

Software updates are needed

New software updates are needed for this HDTV Because The color is too red color adjustment needs to be independent of the red hues and other hues more in depth. And the USB playback functions don't support fast forward or review for on screen frame by frame mean ex(1.5x play>> 10>> 30>> and etc and for review)

Good TV

This set has a very good picture - The only problem I have is when you turn on the tv, no matter where you left volume, it is muted everytime. Have to turn it up so far that when it finally comes in it is very loud.

great picture

Picture and sound are excellent. Interaction with cable box and dvr were somewhat complicated, but the problems seemed to be with the other units. The main goal of watchingTV was excellent.
Pros: sharp picture, initial set up easy with side by side comparison
Cons: settings hard to change

Overall good product

This is my second Phillips LCD TV in my household. The 47 inch i've had for 1 year and 7 months and it is an awesoome tv. I have had problems with the picture going out and becoming very pixelated to where I can not make out anything on the screen. I was still under warranty and Phillips exceptional service had someone come and fix it. Although the tv repair people took 3 weeks to fix the part it works like a charm.
Pros: excellent picture quality, easy set up

Volume doesn't always work when I turn the tv on.

Most of the time the volume doesn't come on when I turn the power on. I usually have to raise the volume level to around 60 and it comes on. Very loud at that level.

What a gift

I received this HDTV as an early Christmas gift. I'll tell you what, I am blown away by the picture quality of this electronic. Even my girlfriend who could care less about HD TV's is excited to come home to watch it. I am very impressed so far with Phillips televisions.
The only downside in my opinion is the sound quality. I owned a Phillips Home Theater System prior to this that worked extremely well for the price but only lasted about two years. I guess that is average. I would recommend an additional sound system to the television to add to the experience. Thank you Phillips.

Picture is very good. In fact it is excellent. BUT most disappointing is the sound. The rear facing speakers do not do justice to the quality of the TV. I have had to fit my own speakers to get better sound. Would never have bought it if I knew sound was bad. That is why only 3 stars.
