Door Problem

After using the oven for the first week we found that the door hinges hang up and need to be replaced. The service tech checked and it seems to be a known problem. Not acceptable. I also asked him to check the temperature as it doesn't seem to heat up to the setting. He will do that when he returns with the hinges. Let's hope it works for the holiday in 3 weeks!!!

I look forward to cooking every day! The oven temperature is very accurate. I love the larger glass so that I can see what is going on without opening often. Easy maintenance and I love the fourth rack. They are also easy to wipe clean. Just a great appliance!

Our only complaint is that the door does not line up properly and sometimes makes a loud clunk when closing .

Convection produces perfect cookies. Love the Warm function.A needed improvement is at least a warning label on the bottom not to use aluminum foil. Of course the owner should read the manual, but a guest "wanting to be helpful" and not soil the bottom can create havoc. If the oven can remind you to shut the door, there ought to be a way of putting an indelible warning on the enamel.

GE® 27" Built-In Single Convection Wall Oven

Bought this oven on 2/5/2014. It looks bigger than my old GE built-in combo with microwave all in black but with stainless steel and darker glass cover, still matches with the other appliances in the kitchen. I am very pleased with this oven, temperature is hotter than my old one so it cooks food faster but evenly especially the convection oven . I haven't really used much the other features because I am the only one living at the house and I use the microwave more often than the oven. There are better features in this oven compare with my old one and this is much easier to operate once you get used to the other high tech features. I am very please with this oven and hope it will last long like the previous one.

The oven looks very nice. However, the electronic control panel does not flush to the wall fixture once installed. The vertical edges of the oven should have been a little wider or larger tolerance to better overlap the gap of the cutout.

I have always owned ge stoves this is my third one and it tops all the others great features love the convection oven
