Great first washer for new home

Bought this for my house as a first time home owner. Overall it is great. It does a great job cleaning our clothes and leaves them pretty dry which makes it so they don't need to be in the dryer as long. Occasionally it makes a funny noise when it first starts like a gear is stuck or something, but that might be due to us not really knowing what we were doing when we set it up. It's never had a negative impact on our clothes. Oh, also setting it up was easier said than done- we tried twice (my husband and I) and ended up calling a friend to come help. The directions could be written better-- we also aren't very "handy" people in that way. :)Overall I've loved it!

Duet washer PC boards failed with the 1st 3 months.Thewasher has been down for two weeks waiting for repair.

Got what I wanted at the Outlet

I bought this unit because it matched, with minor exceptions, the 4 1/2 year old unit that died and was too costly to repair. I am hoping I have better luck as I have in the past with Whirlpool products and that the unit failure was an exception.

I love this washer. All the settings show how long they take.We had a Kenmore front loader previously and were very happy. This Whirlpool unit is even more efficient! As long as it proves to be dependable and durable we will be very happy.

A good washer

Cleans well. Is much more quietly than an earlier model that did not make it through the warranty period. Clothes are clean, and almost dry which saves on the dryer use as well.Optional base is nice for ease of access, but very expensive for what is essentially a metal drawer.
