Great at first

I spent the extra money on a Whirlpool because they used to make a quality product. At first, I loved this product. It cleans well and was very quiet. After owning it for 9 months, it sounds like a 747 taking off. I have found I have to have a rear bearing replaced, and that requires me to miss a day of work, not to mention I have to find someone to take the dryer off (it's stacked) because the repairman won't do that.. He said this is the 4th bearing he has replaced on this product. I recommend an extended warranty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this a month ago to replace one that I had in a rental unit. The first one lasted 9 years so it was only natural to select the same unit. This unit however was nicer than the first unit I had put in the rental, which my tenant where well pleased with. It is very economical to run and uses less water which saves on the septic drain field.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I absolutely love my new duet steam washer! This washer gets our clothing so much cleaner. The steam feature is wonderful for sanitizing towels and heavily soiled clothing. It has enough options to wash anything. In the past I've read about issues with smell from the drum but I have not experienced that at all. It is really easy to use and I like that you can pause it to add more laundry if you need to. It's a wonderful washer and I'm really happy with the product.

I bought this washer 7 years ago. I originally worked great, but had to spend an average of $150 per year on repairs the last 3 years. Last week the drum separated and the technician said that repairing would cost as much as purchasing a new one.

Good while it lasted

We had this machine for 7 years, but started having performance problems about 5 years in. Repair needs have become more frequent, and this week it has become irreparable after three service calls. Throughout its use, the Duet has done a good job of getting clothes clean, but keeping mold and odor of the drum has been a constant battle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
