Great upgrade and energy savings

I have owned standard top loading machines my entire life. Capacity was limited, machine was noisy and it require a good amount of hot water and electricity to run both the washer and dryer.My New Whirlpool Duet set is incredible. It may not be the top of the line set that also makes dinner for you but this set is great. Tons of cycle options, steam on both the washer and dryer, a capacity that is nearly double of my old machine and being an HE machine is uses very little water yet my clothes come out perfectly clean. Not only that, they come out of the wash drier and take less time in the dryer. And to top all of that off, these machines do not wear down the fabric. Proof is in the lint screen. Very little fiber being worn away. I save money on water, Electricity and clothes. What more can I ask. If you want a new efficient washer/dryer set but don't want to mortgage the house but still want a quality unit go with these. Well designed and well built. I will recommend this set to anyone. I love it

Purchased washer after doing some research and comparing specs. It was not the highest rated but price vs features put near top of list. Unit made in Germany sealed the deal.works great, please be sure that it leveled correctly otherwise it will shake. Once leveled correctly its smooth cleaning

makes my life a lot easier

Overall, I love these products. The ONLY minor thing I have found is that when I use the BULKY feature on teh washer, I also have to "spin/drain" feature afterwards to get enough water out to be able to dry products. Regular bulky cycle leaves too much water in the garments, but the extra spin cycle takes care of teh problem.

Check the internet for real reviews of the Duet washer. Youtube.com is full of videos regarding the problems with the Duet. Repairs are expensive and many people have had to repair them over and over. Whirlpool does not care.

I especially love the steam feature as I have boys with lots of motor oil and grease stuff! I just use the steam feature and some spray & wash and their clothes have never been cleaner!

The machines have been very good with the exception of some minor vibration problems during spin cycles. The wash cycles use very little water and the clothes are extremely clean at the end of the cycles. We are very happy with both the Washer and Dryer. They seem to be very energy efficient.

This product has a very nice look and design. It is easy to operate and performes well for the price of the machine. I do have an issue with some water leaking occasionally from the back of the machine, which I have not identified the cause yet. I like that the machine operates with little noise.
