After much agonizing over what turned out to be minutiae we decided on the Whirlpool front loader. Love it. Only negative, is cycles run slightly longer than front loader that was being replaced. Feel like clothes are getting cleaner with new machine so guess it is worth the trade off.

Whirlpool has done a fantastic job making a machine that does such a wonderful job with the least amount of effort. It is so efficient that the dryer runs less time also. I was a little concerned that the stingy amount of water would do the job. . .it did a better job than anything I have ever owned.

This product has all the cycles that I wanted plus it is incredibly energy efficient. I have been pleased with the look of our clothes after washing them in the Whirlpool Duet. It is easy to use; the instructions were easy to follow.

company known problem with this washer......do not buy!!

There is a known company issue with this washer yet registered owners are not being notified. My entire tub has to be replaced because of this ball bearing issue. The washer is loud and the quick wash cycle do not work. (clothes are still saturated). I would have thought was my washer was just a lemon but......it is a known issue!!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my second duet set and cannot say enough good things about them. Very few problems over the years with our set that is ~ 5 years old and just purchased this one for a new addition we added. I love the various settings that meet the needs of whatever you are washing and drying. My kids are able to put their own sports items in and choose the appropriate settings without concern. I love that!

Everything works as expected

I'm not one to rant about a washer or dryer. Not the most exciting thing I own. But, I've had a pair of Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer for 8+ years now doing 10+ loads a week doing a very good job. So, when my washer drum went out and I was forced to by a new washer again, I went the same route and got a new Whirlpool washer. It too, though I've only had it a month or two, works as expected. That's really all I can ask of a washing machine. No excitement factor like a new car. It just works and does it right. That's all I ask, all I want. Thanks, Whirlpool!
