A Simple Return

It wasn't difficult to follow most of the directions but it is confusing when it comes to 401 K and what is taxable, interest, dividens and stuff. Some of the explanations just got me more confused. On the whole it was still easier than sitting down with the tax book and paperwork.

Went from owing a lot to getting a refund

I have always prepared my taxes manually. I have a degree in Finance and had taken personal income tax. But this year I found that I was going to owe $2,000.00 so I decided to get Turbotax to see if I could reduce it. Turns out that there were some deductions and credits that I didn't know I could take. To say that this program paid for itself is a gross understatement!

I used turbo tax last year and was very satisfied. they improved on making the updates faster. It was seemless and very easy especially with importing my info from last years tax forms. would recommend.

the CD I received operated very slow, I debated whether to just download the program or request a CD when I purchased Basix 2009. Hindsite says I should have downloaded the program because the CD didn't work to well. I have four other Basic programs on this computer and all have work great.
