I have been using TurboTax for the last 8 years. Last year it was bad, this year it got worse! First, the is a memory leak: watch memory use while updating your stock transactions (delete/update) this slows things down considerably, second, you have to go through 3 steps to say you had a wash-sale, and even then due to a bug you have to select a "no" go forward, go back, and then change your answer to "yes" otherwise for some reason the wash-sale is not seen, third, I imported my transactions with tax-lot accounting from Gainskeeper, but I had to go through all transactions again one-by-one to say which ones where wash-sales even though the input file already included that information. It took me more time this year to do my federal return than I could have done the same manually! I had about 200 stock transactions.

I questioned J H with the amount of my tax returned. I found out by preparing my tax I would received more $$$$. This is the bottom line $$$$...and i did the return with ease and confident of my identity protected. Thanks Turbo Tax

Still Needs Work

Everything went well until I got to the e-filing portion. At that point I realized this was a headache! I entered my AGI, my PIN, even called the IRS to get their help getting beyond this point ... it is still being rejected. So much for the fast, easy, free option of filing your taxes. The only thing I can figure is either the whole program is bugged or just my copy.
