Could have used the free version, but am more comfortable with the desktop Basic version.
We are retired and have simple return. Kids are grown, and we are full-time RV'ers.

Best Tool for Mom of Toddler

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has small toddlers who consume a lot of time. Turbo tax was very helpful when my husband got talked into a job that turned out to be self-business. He quickly wanted to get out of it , but I still had to deal with the different forms and schedules. I am pleased I will continue to use Turbo Tax.

Consistly Easy To Use

I have used Turbo Tax for several years to do mine & my dad's taxes (he's unable to file his due to illness). It is always the least painful process to do a task I always dread each year!! What more could you ask?

Money Well Spent

Didn't need to use my wifes SSA-1099-SM because she's retired (I assume). A little explanation rather just skipping this step would have been more reassuring. But I've used Turbo Tax for years and it's never let me down or made a mistake.

This is actually my 2nd review. After writing my first one, I tried to save and exit, but I cannot save my tax file. The help screen appears to provide an incorrect sequence for checking forms. This is the worst version of tax software that I have ever tried to use.

EXTENTION FILERS BEWARE I felt ripped off

For the first time ever I had to file an extention. So I picked up turbo tax at Staples last minute and went thru the process to fill out the extention form. I printed out a paper copy and the program told me to mail it off before midnight. I could have downloaded a form from IRS if thats what I had wanted to do. So I looked it up on help and found out there is ANOTHER turbo tax $10 extention product they sell. I believe in the past years I have seen "file an extention" choice on this software. What a load. At the very least they could have put it on the box that you COULD NOT e-file an extention. I would have bought a turbo tax product just for that, but there wasn't one by itself. I went to another company online for free upload of that form. I am considering leaving turbo tax for good, even though I have been a loyal user for over 14 years. Lots of compitition out there now a days folks.
