not very good for married filing status

TurboTax is very awkward in handling case where federal file with Married Filing Jointly, but multiple state filings with Marrried Filing Separate for one of the states.
I worked and lived in IL for a year, but my wife never lived in IL. So, she doesn't need to file for IL. When you use Married Filing Jointly in Federal, TurboTax will assume that you want to file all your states as Married Filing Jointly as well, which causes quite a bit of a headache in trying to trick TurboTax into filing the one state where I lived and worked as Married Filing Separate.
And if you use TurboTax on-line you don't find out that you can't file the correct status until after you pay. On-line support can let you have the desktop version to corrrect it, but you have to pay again to prepare each state.
Ended up spending more than I wanted to and still have an uneasy feeling about whether TurboTax prepared my taxes correctly. Should have gone to HR block from the beginning.

PEOPLE WITH A "P" CODED IN BOX 12 OF W-2 THAT EXACTLY COVERS MOVING EXPENSE ARE BEING TAXED ON THAT INCOME. IT IS COUNTED TWICE IN LINE 7 OF 1040.
