You messed up, but I paid the price

I was furious when I received a notice in JULY that I probably had made a mistake when entering our Medicare Premiums. So it took me quite a while to refigure my taxes and find that indeed I had entered them on the form where asked and again on Schedule A. You need to make it more obvious that you are going to include them automatically on Schedule A. Trying to get an Amended Return was extremely confusing. I kept getting the same screen in an ongoing circle. Very confusing. The instructions for the amended return are not clear due to State filing instructions being in the way. My state doesn't have an income tax, therefore the Federal instructions should come first, then the State.

Frustrated

I have prepared taxes for over 30 yrs & was a certified Tax Preparer. However, I do not like the changes which make it almost impossible to prepare a return without following the Step by Step process. I realize this has been done to enable less Tax knowledgeable people to prepare their own returns, but it is very frustrating not to be able to enter information without all the worksheets.
Additionally, I always enjoyed having ALL the Tax forms available on Turbo Tax and not just the individual forms being used. I like to review various forms to keep up-to-date with Tax changes.

Outstanding Software

I previously used TaxCut software for several years. The H&R Block program that I purchased this year would not load. I exchanged for another copy, and it would not load either. Wal-Mart would not refund the price of opened software, so I had to return to H&R Block for a refund. I purchased TurboTax, and it not only loaded with no problems, but imported my 2008 information from the TaxCut package - awesome! I'm sold on TurboTax, and will never purchase the H&R Block product again. And I have convinced my friends and family to switch also - they love TurboTax!
