Pretty good program

I was not clear on the Interest entries. Only recall where it asked for only one entry. I had two but made second one on form 1040 when pulled up.
Last year's was more complete on helping to correct errors. Not pointed out clearly.
Did not ask for any estimated tax payments that were made or did I miss that. Don't see how.

Errors in Turbo prevent e-filing

(1)My 1099-r shows $18,000 withdrawal, all of which was a QCD. Turbo Tax insists that there should be an amount in Box 2A (taxable amount), but no taxes are owed on a QCD. This "error" prevents me from e-filing.
(2) Error: "Enter detailed explanation to complete Return of Prior Year Excess Traditional IRA Contributions." on 8606. I retired in 1995 and have not made an IRA contribution since then. How can I have an excess contribution??? I entered something in this field which got rid of the error.

Needs a lot of work

When you are doing your tax return, it was not obvious that if you closed the program prior to finishing, that Turbo Tax would save all your info. Other tax programs ask you if you want to discontinue and save your information to that point. Also, when I had originally decided to efile, i ran into a snag in that I could not figure out what AGI to put in since I had also filed an ammended tax return for that year. When I tried to go back to paper-file, it kept telling me I had an error (because I did not fill out the page with the AGI) when, in fact, I didn't have an error but had changed my mind.
Turbo Tax is not very flexible...
