Sweet & Easy

This is my 5th year to use TurboTax. While my tax return gets more complicated year after year, TurboTax gets simpler. The application examples provide practicle parallels to my tax circumstances, so I can comprehend the choices. The live community was also very helpful.

Finally Found It

The packaging for the upscale product specifies Schedule C, which I need for my small side-business. But the upscale products have so many bells and whistles, it's difficult to get through the process (prior years' experience).
The Basic version does provide all you need to fill out the Schedule C! I wish the packaging had told me so.

Not a Garmin

It's getting better every year to get around. I like the summary pages of income and deductions where I can see everything at once. I have a Garmin and didn't see the similarity as in the commerical. Didn't bother me.

Better than last year

2008 discouraged printing a hard copy prior to efiling. I'm old school and like to review a hard copy side by side with last year to make a final check for errors. This non-print check cost me to make a revision last year. 2009 provided ample printing opportunities prior to filing. I checked and all looked good, so I feel very good about the completeness of my 2009 return.

Worst Installation ever

I had a terrible time getting Turbo Tax to load on my Windows XP PC. I kept getting fatal errors when loading. It took over four hours to get the software to load. Telephone support led me down many paths which did not work. VERY FRUSTRATING because I have used Turbo Tax over ten years and I have never had this problem previously.
