good overall but missing some info

I loved using TT to prepare my returns but It did not tell me that you have to mail any return with an innocent spouse form attached. That would have saved me so time and hassel.

Not as good as last year

I tihnk that the software has gotten more user friendly in some spots, but it has left out some things that it used to do very well. I didn't see any place to go in and be able to automatically change my direct deposit, and I almost forgot. Also, I used to like when it compared my return to the average return in the US for the same income bracket. Where is that now???
Also, in the overview screens, where is shows what you have left to do, it doesn't identify very well what is left to do. For instance when I click "none of the above," items still show up in the review screen that I need to check certain areas.
Not sure if things were removed and put into the more expensive packages.

Love Turbo Tax

I have used Turbo Tax for the last 6 years. I love it. From year to year it moves your information from one return to the next, saving a lot of time. it's easy ti use. Just answer the questions. Turbo Tax includes all of the latest tax updates and deductions that I didn't even know was eligible for. I tried another tax preparation software once before, and would never use anything but Turbo Tax again.

I use Turbo Tax every year. It transfers all of last years info so saves me time. When I had a tax preparer do my taxes I ended up penalized by the IRS cause she filled out the forms wrong. I don't have that worry with Turbo Tax.

Lost Longtime Customer

I've been using TT for years and found it very efficient and useful. This year, as usual, TT calculated a penalty due on my tax return. It does this every year and is incorrect due to other financial information the IRS knows but TT does not. Every year I delete the penalties and file online. This year, TT would not allow me to e-file since I had changed a field it deemed important. It seems that now TT is in charge of what is right or wrong on my tax return and not me! That is a serious problem. I ended up printing and mailing even though I had paid for e-file. I will choose another tax prep software next year.
