There could be some short cuts for people who know they can, for example, skip itemizing and go straight to standard deduction. That would save A FEW minutes.

I'VE BEEN USING TURBO-TAX (AND MAC-IN-TAX EARLIER) AND THIS WAS THE EASIEST OF ALL. I SHOULD HAVE ENHANCED MY "VIEW" AS MY EYES AREN'T WHAT THEY USED TO BE; I'M IN MY 70'S. THIS YEAR I USED THE BASIC VERSION, LAST YEAR I USED DELUXE. THE HIGHER PRICE OF THE DELUXE TURNED ME OFF. I DO MY OWN STATE TAX BECAUSE MY STATE HAS THE RETURN ON-LINE AND IT'S EASY. THE EXTRA COST FOR TURBO TAX STATE WAS PROBABLY WORTH IT BUT I'M CHEAP :-)
AS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE SURVEY, I DON'T DO SOCIAL NETWORKS.

In these trying economic times, I have recommended this program to family, friends and co-workers, especially if they have copies of their last tax returns. If nothing major has changed, this program will walk you through filling in all the blanks and could save you time and money in the preparation of your income tax return. Highly recommend it.

poor upload of data, expensive state!

We used H&R Taxcut for last 5 years
This year we recieved "free" TurboTax with new laptop
It only uploaded only names and SS #, had to reenter EVERYTHING else
Got to the end and they wanted over $40 to do state filing.
Ended up filing state by hand. Thanks for the "freebie", NOT
