Problem with Shut Downs

Each time when I tried to enter a code on line 7 for the 1099-R, I clicked on the drop-down menu, and the program shut down and wiped out some of the information I had entered on the form so I had to keep re-entering that information after starting Turbo-Tax over again and again and again. I finally figured out that I needed to use the tab key to go to the box and type in the code instead of using the drop-down box, but you really should fix that problem. Thanks for allowing me to tell you about this.

Swift and Simple

I have never used a Federal Income Tax preparation software program before and found my first experience most satisfying. The instructions were thorough but easy to understand and it took me only about 30 minutes to prepare a joint return with W-2, 1099-R and 1099-Misc income. It prepared the 1040 as well as a Schedule C and work credit.

Worst Configuration Ever

It took about a half day to get the required netframework version accepted by my computer even though I've had automatic M/Soft updates every day for over a year. Now, ever since I've managed to update to the latest netframework version Microsoft tries on a daily basis to update an OLD version of same and I don't know how to stop them from trying even though everything (Including Turbotax 09) seems to run fine right now.

have used TurboTax for many years and have no complaints. Returns have not been particularly complicated, but the software has addressed all of the issues I have had. Appreciate the organized approach.

Not that great this year--can't override, doesn't have a way to get out of the "guide me" function, doesn't go through all the first-time home buyer options & laws, seems like something wasn't updated properly. I have been using Turbo Tax for about 6 yrs and probably won't anymore.
