Confusing

Not everying clear. Paid for and couldn't file state taxes. Waste of $45 dollars and now I have to do it al by hand. More confusing than last year by far.

This is a good overall software. But, needs following improvements:
- Even if all prior year returns were done using same ( TurboTax) software, it requires manual entry of certain carryover numbers. Moreover, it does not tell where these carryover numbers can be found, i.e. does not tell which forms and line numbers (from prior years) to look up to get these numbers.
- Some questions in the step-by-step procedure are too ambiguous, For example instead of asking "do you need to enter any other tax situation" the program should list all possible situations and then ask if any of these apply. This is done in some cases, but not all cases.

quick, easy and accurate

last year I sold and bought a house and had other unusual financial situations going on and I would not have figured it out or I would have paid a lot of money to an accountant but TurboTax saved me time, money, figured the return quickly and in easy to follow steps that I could either stop and study or go back to the prior page to make sure I was completing it correctly... so I of course am sold on using TurboTax each year because it keeps up with all the tax changes and deductions

Big Blue done again!

I am very confident that my return is done correctly, maximizing my deductions while being totally correct. Therefore, I do not have to worry about auditors coming around to hassel me sometime down the road. This is my fifteenth year of using Turbo Tax, and I will continue doing so as long as I need to file tax returns.

You continue to overload your tax program with marketing stuff. Buy this...upgrade now... audit protection... sign this and we can disclose your information...
One day the IRS will provide this same software at no cost to the taxpayer... (they should do it NOW)
you will be out of business... I hope your marketing people get fired first...
