Worst TurboTax Ever

The printing of my return was a nightmare. Part of the problem was my printer so I decided to print each form individually rather than the entire package at once.
I clicked on Schedule B, but what I got was not Schedule B, but, rather the 1099-DIV and 1099-INT Worksheets. I could not print the actual Schedule B from that menu (Forms). Unless this is easier next year, this will be the end of my relationship with TurboTax.

A little heads up would be nice

It would have been nice to be told that unless I entered my children's SS #'s on the first screen, I would not get credit for them. It only told me my children were not qualifying. I almost lost a $2000 credit and I don't think the error check picked it up either.

I did my taxes in 2 hours and that includes looking for doc that i had missed and was reminded of by turbo tax. tax returns are not as painful as they used to be with turbo tax. I used the much cheaper basic version this year because I didn't have to itemize. the deluxe version is so much more expensive, but worth it if your return is complicated.

Needs improvement

This comment is for the TT programmers, not the public. Entry in forms mode has become frustrating. The rule should be: every field in which you can't type a number should lead to the worksheet for it with one click. NOT happening. Especially the charitable contributions are aggravating. Imagine having to switch to the other mode every time you find another charitable entry. AAARRGGHH!! The Sched B field should have a worksheet accessible with one click on the field. Same is true in other places. Sometimes it takes longer to find where you can enter something than it takes to enter it. Not everyone can put up with your lengthy interview method, especially if they are well acquainted with taxes. You need to make the forms method work better, just like a professional tax program would work. You've got the hard part down (tax calculations), now make it slicker to use.

Easiest and Best Tax Program

I have been an employee of one of the top Income Tax preparation companies in the world for over 10 years and retired due to age two years ago. I have personally used TurboTax nearly every year since the mid-1980s as I rely on efficiency and ease of use. My career was in computer program engineering and I know the importance of ease of use and efficiency when it comes to those people who are inexperiemced. I always recommend TurboTax to friends and relatives and let them know that in addition to your staff, I will be available for them if they should have a problem. In over 25 years, I don't believe we've ever had any problems that couldn't be fixed by reading the instructions and correctly answering all the questions.

Turbo has done it again making doing your taxes straight forward and leaving little for you to consider except where you put all your paperwork to do your return. Keep improving and making it easier each yr. thanks
