I have been using Turbotax for several years, for myself and some relatives. I love the ease of use, and never needed anything more than "Basic".
BTW, have been an AARP Tax Aide for 10 years, now retired, where tax calculations were by hand.

Turbo Tax using a Dial-up

Using the "Guide Me" to guide me through the completion of all the forms is probably not necessary but it's helpful and reassuring to me as we go along. One thing troubled me a little, however: one of my deductions was a vehicle used by the fire department for extrication training and Turbo Tax said it required a form or a letter, but apparently the software allowed the 1040 to be transmitted electronically without it!

I always use TurboTax software because it is so easy! I love the way it walks me through the process, checks my return for errors, and then e-files for me....right from my home computer! I'll be a return customer year after year!

I have used TurboTax for several years and it is getting more and more straightforward to use. Most of the annoying update requests have disappeared this year although I would like a button to dismiss them all right up front. it also prompted for state return although my state doesn't have an income tax. Nevertheless, from start to finish it took 2 hours for an itemized return. Free e-filing and remembering codes is great!
