some minor problems

First of all, I'm an overseas contractor with a state-side employer and there are thousands of us out here. A good tax program that handled us would be a big plus for you folks.
My wife works on the military base, as many of ours do, but does not get a W2 and is considered self employed. When using your program, it would be VERY good if you had each spouses name above the pages and each one was completed entirely prior to switching. It almost does this, but at times, I wasn't sure if you wanted my info or hers. I always have some difficulty in getting her info entered properly. In looking at the Federal summary sheet, my data and hers is not separated out, so I never know if the inputs are considered mine or hers, and that's important since we both have separate tax exclusions and her total income it below the max while mine is not.
I like the ability to FLAG areas, and you provide that now, but it has a bit of a problem. The flag will allow the return to a given point, but once there, you can only look at that page. If you hit the back button, it will take you back to where you were before you hit the flag and not allow you to simply back up from the flagged page, so unless that flagged point will allow you to resolve your problem or make your desired entry, you can't do much.
All overseas contractors have an APO or FPO address, and your software will not allow easy entry of those addresses. My address is APO AP for CITY and STATE. I have to go directly to the forms to enter that information most of the time.
I'll still be here next year .... hope some of this will help you to make some minor improvements.
I notice you have an image input area. Nice. I have saved some of the pages I had difficulty with, but simply don't have the time to do much with it now.

TurboTax Basic is fantastic for simple returns. It's very good for those with itemized deductions, but you have to be careful to enter everything carefully. Sometimes, you have to "trick" the system to enter non-typical deductions, like charitable mileage to many different places on many different dates, without having to set up many different sheets under a particular class of deduction. All in all, a very worthwhile product with excellent guidance.

In my opinion, Turbo Tax is the way to go. It takes you through what you need to do step-by-step.There are even pictures to help you make sure you are doing it right. It also has a place where you can go if you have any questions.

Good Purchase

Im a little leary because my refund with turbo tax is about 4 times what it was last year which in itself is VERY GOOD but it makes me leary because I had an tax professional complete my taxes last year and how can it be that turbo tax got me such a higher return this year than I got last year with a professional??? Plus I paid over 100.00 to get my taxes completed last year and turbo tax was MUCH cheaper. If my turbo tax refund is correct WOW I'll be thrilled but the IRS and audits scare me.
