Bait and Switch

There are several prompts by turbo tax that make you think you are paying to file your taxes, but they're just charging you to upgrade. I would forego the downloads and just do the online. It's easier and you don't get any added benefits by downloading; you still have to pay to e-file. On top of that, you have to pay in advance to e-file, and my domestic partnership doesn't let you e-file. Such a frustrating experience!!! On top of that, when I did need help during my filing phase, the turbo tax representative had no idea how to help me and she wanted to remotely log in to my computer. She didn't even inform me that she wanted to do that, but just started telling me step by step instructions, and I realized that she wanted to log into my computer. She shouldn't need to see my screen to know how to help me.

A couple of years ago I bought TaxCut because of a better sale price and HATED it! I would never use or recommend anything besides TurboTax!
