I have canadian income that I pay taxes upon. I can enter this successfully and it ask me to e-file. I fall for this each year and do everything UNTIL it reviews my form just before sending. Only then does it REQUIRE an employer ID which the canadian tax forms have but not the same as required in the US. Either tell me earlier or provide me a way to input an acceptable code that tells the IRS that I can provide if desired a copy of the canadian form that I used to input the income/taxes paid. For example, if I was to put in my SSN; your system would know that you would send a page that the I would provide upon request a copy.

Some Concerns

Does IRS require separate listing of all charitable donations? Turbotax's request for a listing with addresses; dates is very burdensome. Make this optional if you can.
Also program kept asking me to down load State income tax form, Florida has no income tax.

One small problem if you're under 16

I'm under 16 and filed my first return and the feds rejected it. Your first return must be filed by paper. TurboTax should have caught this! Otherwise, I would have been very satisfied

Turbo Tax is the way to go for quick tax preparation. I wouldn't do it any other way. What normally is a chore by hand is fun while you work.
