This years turbo tax seemed a little easier to use but I did find that it was a little more percise in the medical deduction area

I got down to the final steps.
Could not get it to accept my signatures.
Went back to personnal information many times and retyped them .
Even sont email to TT, mentioning the problem I was having, was W/e so no reply
Finally saw the faint outline of the last name box,
I had been putting 1st & last names in 1st name box
Maybe you could make the boxes stand out better.

Awful Experience

Desktop is MUCH more expensive than online! After going through entire online process, I was told I could only file 3 state returns online and would have to purchase the desktop version instead, for $35. But what I wasn't told was each state (I filed in 4 states) is $45 + $20 for desktop + e-file compared to $30 total for each state in the online version. And I can STILL only file 3 returns online! What a ripoff.

I could not reconcile my total medical expenses with what Turbotax said was the total, although all input numbers appeared identical. I finally discovered that when asking for the total medical insurance premiums paid, the program really wanted me to enter only the secondary insurance premium and NOT Medicare. Once I corrected that, all else fell into place and there were no other problems. It would be helpful to make this distinction on the page dealing with medical insurance premiums.

Easy year to year

I like being able to just pick up where I left off last year and carry on. Takes next to no time to get through my simple return. The only strange thing this year is the automatic backup to my MobileMe account failed, and I couldn't locate a reason or a fix.

In the last several years (since 2005) it seems as though turbo tax has gotten more complex and difficult to use. I prefer it over any other method however things seem to be missed if you're "guided" through the steps. I'm fearful that I actually missed a few things and spent an extra 2 hours going through each topic again tonight before efiling. That being said - it is still the best way for me to handle and file taxes.
