Very Helpful

I would understand the marketing pushes if I were using a free file ware, but since I paid for TurboTax, I shouldn't have to see the promotions. The software works well. I have been using it for about 5 years. I prefer Deluxe edition, but it's not worth twice the money to me. It is a little difficult when you exit preparation and return because it hangs up a bit at the preview/print option. All in all a solid product I will buy again - provided I am not audited due to an error created by the software. I find it a bit disconcerting that updates are added every time I log in. What if they effect my return and I've already filed? Will I be notified?

I have used Turbotax probably 10 years. This years Turbotax was the most user friendly of all those years. I had a fairly involved return that would have taken much more time to complete without Turbotax.

I have used the product for a number of years and it has been easy to file and keep for records. All went well this year, too - until it came to a request to provide states invested in a tax-exempt mutual fund. I live in Texas and we have no state income tax. There is no need for the state breakdown for the federal filing - only for state forms. I had no way to enter this fact even though I enter my state of residence. Because I left the information blank on two TurboTax worksheets, I was unable to e-file - Bummer

fast and easy

was pretty simple, but need little more explaination as far as investments and exactly which figures to plug in. took a little more time to make sure i had all the correct figures from investment paperwork correct. not really the fault of turbotax - the statements from investment firm could be more explainatory. overall turbotax was quicker and much, much cheaper than the accountant I have been paying

Good for the cost

This year used the basic package for the first time. Since I have limited deductions and a fairly simple tax filing. While the Basic package found a deduction that I would not have considered it also kept telling me that I needed to file a state return. ( My state does not have a state income tax. (FL))
I have used the Deluxe package in the past, and while my filing status will remain the same, I will more than likely use the Deluxe package in the future simply because it has an easier user interface
