Works great if downloads work

This is my 4th year using TurboTax. This was the 1st year the updates did not work. None of the updates worked, not even using the manual update option. And "Tina" the live help desk was no help at all. Needless to say, this should have been done 3 days ago, but I keep trying to get the updates. It's been a VERY frustrating experience this year.

Nightmare Experience

I bought the basic online version. I tried to file but it insisted my Virginia Return was Amended (even thought it was not) and it couldnt be fixed after paying, yet also couldnt be efiled incorrectly. no refund was offered. I waited and spoke to support for a total of 5 hours, only to have the have me download a software version off the internet. This took 2 hours.
Finally I completed and filed my taxes. I am not even getting a refund.

forms don't foot, no need for others

Form 2441 doesn't foot. Customer service recommended overriding, but didn't bother mentioning that I can't e-file with an override. Luckily the correct credit number flowed to my 1040.
Oklahoma Form 561 was not necessary on my return (no qualifying capital gains), but TT wanted me to send this form to Oklahoma after I efiled.
Also, on my partership software/return there doesn't appear to be a simple way to print a future depreciation report for 2010.
Additionally, there are way too many questions to answer for someone that knows that the answers to the questions don't matter to my returns.

Short, Sweet, To The Point

Outstanding software that is easy to use and helps you make sure that no deduction is missed. Easy to follow prompts guides you through the entire process. I completed my tax return in well under an hour and got a refund in excess of $3,000. Highly recommended to any level of tax form do-it-yourselfer.

It actually cost a hefty fee to pay online with your credit card. state tax fee were lowered to 19.99 at one point. when I decided to use service prie went back up to $50.

Love using TurboTax

I've used TurboTax for the last 10 years. I have never had any problems or complaints in using this software. It really makes my tax season less stressful. I don't know what I'd do without it.

Unable to force printing of Schedule A.
Even though standard deduction turns out to be higher, we should be able to save a hard copy of Schedule A for review and guidance next year.
