Basic should be Pro

TurboTax used to have all functionality in it's BASIC product, but it has stripped that product in order to differentiate and premium price TurboTax. Even the BASIC product's price has risen in spite of the fact that its functionality has declined, or, at best, remained static.
This is in contrast to the usual product life cycle where a product's price declines over time, evidence of Intuit's near monopolistic position in the e-tax prep software marketplace.

It worked fine

Have used Turbotax for several years except for last year. It is easy to use and follow, and this year was no exception. The only complaint is my "financial" computer is older, a Pentium 3, but with plenty of ram to run Windows XP, and this year's Turbotax seemed to take forever to install compared to previous years. Also, I only need the basic version but it kept bugging me to upgrade to a more expensive version and I had to say "no thanks" multiple times.

Money Well Spent

I have used this software for many years. In my opinion it is the best one out there. I have tried others and they all pale by comparison. Turbo Tax is the only one I have used that presents the options in a way that is easy to use and understand. It has saved me lots of money over the years by pointing out missed deductions.
