Very Taxing...

For background, we have used Turbo Tax for several years without problems of any sort.
This year, a buggy screen to consent to e-filing requiried I enter our names. Later I was told the names on the TAX FORMS were not the same as last year's and to correct them. They were the same but I re-entered them. NO-GO. I followed instructions on screen to recheck all forms and still NO-GO.
Sent problem notification to Intuit. No useful response. Sign-on to "Live Comunity" failed. New ID was OK, but last years password failed. Mothers maiden name, SSN, and email address all rejected as incorrect!
I finally decided to redo the e-file consent and found it worked when I OMITTED my wifes's middle initial which is REQUIRED ON ALL OTHER forms. The info that the names differed on this and last years tax forms was a red-herring!
The password for the Intuit site I used last year is apparently no longer valid. At least after I e-filed, they used my correct e-mail address.

Getting harder to use, not easier

Do not like the first having to say “no”, and then yes I really meant no, to the first screen every time I load turbo tax. Need a way to NOT print the summary sheets when I print the tax return, it’s a waste of my paper?

It Works

I was not easily convinced that all that I needed to get was the Basic version. I knew anything more than the Basic as too much. I would have liked to just use the Free version however I could not find anywhere to what extent Forms for small small business such as Sched C were included in the Free version but guessed / hoped they were in the Basic. As nothing I saw specificaly stated it, I asumed the Basic would be similar to previous years. Other than the lack of info all worked great
