Easy To Use

Overall it is an excellent tool for filing taxes fast and without a lot of fuss. Especially for those of us with minimal deductions.

I had a problem finding out where to deduct vehicle expenses for my off duty work that is considered a business. It was under job related expenses but has always been under the actual business expenses before.

Had to fill out my Return Twice!

I've used Turbo-Tax for years--ever since it was Macintax, and before. I'm impressed with the increasing ease of use, including electronic filing. I'm relieved that I don't have to go through all the non-needed steps and questions, as used to be required.
I was furious, however, when--after 7 hours of work--the program crashed, and I got an error message: I had created my return with "an earlier version of" the program I had just installed for the first time--and updated--that very morning.
It being Sunday, I couldn't call and inquire how to fix it. However, on your own site, I read seven messages, posted earlier, from other people who had suffered the same indignity.
They had all been told that a problem in the program had corrupted their files, and they would have to start again.
So I started again, from square one. I wasted another 3 and a half hours, but got the federal return finished, again. (This time, I kept saving various versions, in case it got corrupted again.) Finally, 13 hours after I began, I had finished my complicated federal form (twice); two state returns, and filed electronically.
I'm happy to be done, but wary about using your program again, having needed to fill out my form twice.
I should add that it's also much harder to "go to forms" as I used to do. I liked that feature, and am sorry it's gone.
