For the price, I expected better features

Don't take me wrong, I like the machine and its very roomy; however you have no control over some simple things. Such as water level, leave enough water in to soak your cloths or just a spin cycle to drain. If the machine started a wash cycle, you can only pause it and if you change the cycle it will drain all the water first.Also, the reason why I bought the machine was because I wanted a big drum to fit king size comforters. You can only fit one large blanket, if you put more than that the machine acts up and makes all kinds of noises. Make sure the clothes are evenly distributed and not filled to the top due to weight of the wet blanket ("only one at a time").Another concern, I purchased the extended warranty since I have never own this model washer before, nor I know anyone that does. I have owned other Whirlpool appliances and have been very satisfied. So lets see how well it does, my last pair lasted about 10 years.

I have been using this washer for about 4 months. I like it, but at this point not sure if I love it. It is quite large and can handle even large comforters, rugs, blankets, etc. I'm not convinced that the dirtiest clothes are getting clean in an efficient manner. Often, the dirty construction clothing still has dirt that has settled into the wrinkles, and I find it when pulling the clothes out to put in the dryer. There is a pre-soak cycle that works well for this, but it takes over an hour, and then need to follow it with a regular wash cycle. For everyday items, and regular soiled clothing, the machine works just fine. This machine spins at a vey high speed, so clothes are quick to dry in the dryer or on the line outside. They are quite wrinkled however due to the high speed spin cycle. The machine uses much less water, so I'm not sure how things are getting clean if they are not being submerged. So far, the clothes look and smell clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great features

I bought this machine about a month and a half ago. It is a very good machine. I love the fact that it uses less water. What I can't figure out, is how so much less water can get my clothes clean! Also, I love that I can wash a comforter. It's a little tough for my daughter to reach to the bottom of the tub to put clothes in dryer. (She's a little shorter than me). Overall I think it will be great. My old whirlpools both lasted years with no problems.

Great washer worth every penny my clothes feel so clean and smell great its quit I have even saw a drop in my electric bill and I wash clothes a lot because I have a toddler and a 10yr old and my husband loves working on cars . I Love My New Washer

Great Washer!

I bought the Whirlpool washer about two months ago and I am very pleased with its performance. I did a lot of research before buying my first washer and one of my concerns was with the new features of the energy efficient machines. Many people states that there was not enough water to properly clean the clothes, well I have not found that to be true. After a cycle, all of my clothes are completely wet. It is important to read the instructions and know how to properly use the machine. I love the different types of cycles, especially the delicate cycle. No more hand washing =)
