Good washer

When my last washer died after ten years of use I knew I wanted a large capacity washer. There are four that I wash for and I have been very happy with the job the Cabrio has done so far. It does seem to get out of balance a bit, but overall I am very happy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My only regret - I waited so long to replace my old washer!

I am the type of person who does not replace something if it's working. We had a good, reliable, 30 year old washing machine - still working well and with a history of little maintenance or repair so we had no plans to buy a new washer until this one finally stopped working. Our dryer stopped working and we decided to replace the washer at the same time given its age.After a couple days of using our new Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum washer, I am kicking myself for waiting so long! It is amazing!!!! I had no idea that it uses one quarter the water of our old washer to clean a similar size load - our water bill and our water heating costs are way down. Similarly, the electricity costs are greatly reduced. We live in a city where electricity consumption is metered, with greatly reduced rates for night time use and this washer allows us to put a load in and time it to start when the rates are lower. To do this with our old washer meant we had to stay up to start the load at the reduced rate time.And the best thing is, the laundry is actually cleaner than before and the spin cycle gets out more water and this means faster and more energy efficient drying.I very rarely write reviews but must say that my only regret is not buying this new Whirlpool Carbio Platinum washer sooner - it's a purchase that I am delighted to have made and I am reminded about this literally every single time we run a load of laundry.

This washer replaced an 8 year old Whirlpool ( we donated it, and it is still running today!). I was just amazed at the technology this washing machine has. It's quiet, uses WAY less water and detergent, and does a great job. I read that this washer makes noise, but that is just because it operates on a different level in a different way than our old washer. Our clothes even smell better since using this machine. Drying time is about half of what it used to take.
