The washer has met or exceeded our expectation. Speed, results for drying out clothes before going into the dryer is unbelievable. The result of this is cost savings which we enjoy. The other is less time with the dryer.

I just bought this machine, replacing my old Whirlpool washer that had to be 20 yrs. old. I am glad that I did. It seems to work very well and is quiet compared to other HE machines that I've seen. My only problem with it is that the drum is so deep and I am short. I have trouble getting to the bottom to get some of the clothes out. A small price to pay.

Regret buying this!

I bought this washer 2 months ago, b/c our old Whirlpool died after 16 years. I was sold on the large capacity, for washing our queen size down comforter, & on its use of less water. I am so, so sorry I bought this. Mine came w/ a transparent glass lid - bad mistake on Whirlpool's part. The video on this product wrongly shows clothing swirling around, loose & free in lots of water. The reality is they are crammed together in minimal water (even in a small load), swishing one way, then another. It is reminiscent of women washing clothes w/ rocks in a river. I just washed my comforter. Part was submerged, part was wet but in the air in the machine, slightly jostling one way then another. Moving a wet comforter thru air does not wash it! I kept looking & that part of the comforter never got submerged - it moved thru the washer's air repeatedly. This washer is a joke! I now realize with front loaders, gravity keeps dropping your clothes into the water, & mixing them around. But the top loaders have no way to get your laundry into the water without that agitator, & without submerging the laundry. Also, the lid curves forward around the front, making is so long it hits the knobs of the wall cabinets
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
