We bought this and matching dryer a few months ago and live it! It is quiet, great quality, less time-big capacity, and they look awesome.

We do at least 6 full loads of laundry each week with this washer. We used to do 8 or more loads with our old washer. I'm impressed with the cleaning ability, even with such full loads. Clothes do come out smelling fresh. However, don't expect heavy cotton items to come out particularly dry. Towels, jeans and sweatshirts still hold quite a bit of moisture and require fairly lengthy dry times. Oftentimes they take longer to dry than in our old dryer.We don't use many different settings from load to load. The Normal setting is used for most things. We use Sheets and Whites as appropriate. Sometimes we'll use the Bulky Items setting, but that tends to use a lot more water and I'm not sure the outcome is any different.This washer is quiet during operation, but the end of cycle beep is loud enough to be heard upstairs so we know the load is done.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my new whirlpool washer after my 13 year old washer died a loud violent death. I love my new washer. I absolutely love the color. I chose the platinum even though I had planned to spend less, the platinum really caught my eye. It is so quiet compared to my old washer, and I am able to wash the large comforter that never fit in my other washer. I also bought the dryer to have the set. A great move on my part.

Almost perfect

Having suffered with front loading washer problems for the last decade, I am thrilled to have found a top-loading machine with all the features I was looking for. My only concern so far is that when I toss in soiled socks with my lingerie on delicate setting, the socks don't come out spanking clean. I have not tried using a hotter/tougher setting on them as yet, but I'll try that next and hope to get a better outcome.

I've been using our cabrio platinum washer for about a month now. I really love the large capacity of this washer. With a family of four with small children we always have a lot of laundry to do. My clothes feel so much cleaner with this washer compared to my old standard washer. I haven't had any issues with detergent residue or lingering smells in the laundry at all.I really love how easy this washer is to use. I was pretty skeptical about the auto sensing for the water levels but so far it's worked marvelously for me. Even with huge loads of towels they come out smelling fresh and very clean. The large capacity is great too! I can wash full size comforters and they come out nice and clean. Huge plus for my household.This washer is pretty loud though. When it first starts up it sounds almost like a race car. My son loves this, me however, not so much. Luckily for us our laundry room is enclosed so I don't have to hear the washer running in the living spaces. This could be an issue for those who don't have an enclosed laundry room or those that are next to living or bedroom spaces. For me it doesn't detract from the value of the washer and I would still purchase this again even with it being louder than expected.Wash times can take a very long time depending on what setting you have it on and if you choose to use fabric softener or not. Again, I don't see this as a major concern for me. The spin cycle gets my clothes dry enough that my dryer hardly has to work at all. Which makes up for the long running time in my opinion.Overall I really like this washer and would purchase it again.
