I bought this washer more than a month back and I am very happy with it so far. It is quiet and uses water efficiently. It is big and is very useful in running big loads. I had my previous whirlpool washer for 30 plus years and therefore I had no problem in making my decision to replace with another whirlpool washer this time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This product has alot of features

This product has more features than old Cabrio and it is much quieter also. All the cycle settings are good for teaching someone how to wash clothes for the first time.

Just Love the Style

I hsd purchased the Cabrio Platinum Dryer in November and I should of purchased the washer then, but my machine was working fine! Well the washer died and I knew that I wanted the Cabrio washer too! It is so quiet and it does not bounce like my other front load ! I'm sorry that I waited to get this ! I just love it, and the clothes are really spun dry and that means less time in the dryer!!!!Love It!

Best Washer I Have Ever Owned!

After my previous washer suddenly died, I must have stayed up half the night reading all the reviews about this spectacular washing machine: The Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum 4.8 cu. ft. top load washer.There really were only a few negative reviews compared to the hundreds of positive ones. And, after using this washing machine for the last 6 weeks, it seems that those customers with complaints likely did not have understand HOW to use this radically different type of washing machine--or refused to beileve that it would work as claimed.Yes, a washing machine without a center agitator functions very differently. Not seeing the clothes submerged in a TON of water is a new concept. But, understanding that you still MUST load the machine as if there WERE a center spindle for it to perform perfectly is VERY important. I read the manual thoroughly and have been nothing but pleased with the performance and ease of use. It is quite novel watching what happens through the clear glass lid :-).Being able to wash a king size bedspread now is WONDERFUL! This machine can wash a HUGE amount of towels at one time. The machine "weighs" the load to determine how much water it will need and to determine the load size. For customers confused about how much detergent to use, I suggest erring on the side of caution and using less. You will learn to judge how large the load is with experience. HE detergent is not supposed to suds like old fashioned detergents did. Apparently, using the wrong type of detergent can actually damage this type of machine.I have used nearly every type of cycle setting offered and also appreciate being able to further customize the settings by choosing to alter the soil level, water temperature, and spin speed.While the cycles may take longer than a "standard" machine, the dry time has been reduced proportionately. Now, my 1 year old Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum dryer works even better. My old washer clearly wasn't spinning enough of the water out in the spin cycle forcing me to add more time to get clothes dry or use longer load settings. Now, the cycle presets work beautifully when used with this matching washer.I have experienced NONE of the issues with sheets billowing or producing a "mushroom cloud" at the end of the wash cycle. I load the machine as described above, straight down in "loose clumps" (not wound around the drum) and select the sheets setting. Everything works perfectly. Either customers have loaded the maching incorrectly (covering the low center agitator) or Whirlpool corrected the issues customers had in previous models.Because I am tall (5'10) and have long arms, I love having a top load wahsing machine. (It would be counterintuitive for me to own a front loader and bend nearly to the floor to load and unload it. Plus having to pay more for a stand to raise the height of the machine is sheer nonsense!) A average to short person might have a bit of trouble reaching to the bottom of this washer, though.I look forward to using this machine for a long time. I did purchase the entended warranty, as the level of "technology" in today's appliances is so high and means even more "can" go wrong when they do fail.
