Only had the washer for a month, but it is quieter and more efficient in the use of water and laundry soap than any previous machine.

We recently purchased a new home which we love, but the appliances were very old. We were looking around for a new washer and dryer and after a long conversation and looking at many other reviews we were hooked on this unit. We couldn't be happier with our choice to go with this unit.

New style of washing, but good...

Once I got the hang of how to work with the machine, I found it works very well. They say in the manual that the soap actually works in cleaning the clothes with these "low water usage," machines. But you also have to separate your clothes, not only by lights/darks, but by the weight of the fabric. For example, when I wash jeans, only jeans or material comparable to denim, will be washed together. Believe me, this machine can handle up to 4 pairs of adult male jeans at once. Then I can put the whole cycle on "durable fabric," and let the machine treat everything in the tub on an even scale. The machine also spins everything so well, similar to an extractor in the laundromat, that it has significantly cut down on drying time. I like that I just choose the "type," of cycle for the type of wash and the machine does the rest. One of the options is to have a beep sound when the wash is done. I never had with previous machines because you could hear when the machine finished. This machine is so quiet, I actually chose to have it beep when it finished. I chose the machine over a front loader for the size of the tub, and I do love how much I can fit in this tub. I think it cleans the clothes very well. Also, it's one of the few top loader HE machines that will wash waterproof items. A big selling point for me with 2 toddlers.

already had a Whirlpool. that one lasted for 7 or 8 years then it started leaking. tried replacing different parts but it didn't work so we put it to rest. bought this model May 2014. roomy and quiet. The higher spin speed helps reduce the time clothes need to be in the dryer. Like it!
