We are using it in a small bedroom. So far we cannot tell any difference in the air quality. Also, the indicator light has remained red. I don't understand why this powerful air filter has not yet been able to improve the air quality in this small bedroom.
Positives: easy to set up, easy to use and appears to be built well.

We purchased the Alen BreatheSmart FIT50 with the HEPA Silver for our basement family room and laundry room area. We had an air purifier, of another brand, in this area, which wore out. This purifier collected more dust than purifiers in other parts of the house. We chose the FIT50 because it's rated for the area of our basement. The basement area is humid much of the year, which is controlled by a good dehumidifier. The HEPA Silver filter is rated for bacteria and molds, which may be present in humid air. The FIT50 air purifier and the dehumidifier keep the basement area clean, comfortable, and healthy.

I purchased the Alen BreatheSmart FIT50 to help with dust and allergies in my aging home. It eliminated all visible dust in the air. I purchased the unit with the silver filter to help reduce airborne bacteria and mold. It has also removed the musty smell from living very near a lake. The unit has functioned phenomenally and I look forward to years of use!
