I purchased the BreatheSmart FIT50-Certified Refurbished b/c the FIT50 was sold out. I really needed this to deal with a stressful ongoing smoking problem from upstairs neighbor. SO DISAPPOINTED! It has electrical problems! It only brought yet another smell into my home, creating more stress :(. I was very surprised b/c I have been so pleased with my two other Alen air purifiers. . . and always happy with Alen's excellent customer service, but I'll be returning this one for refund asap! Sorry for bad review!

I purchased a FIT50 to put in the bedroom with two litter boxes. I was skeptical the filter could do what it claimed to do. Upon initial set up, the sensor was blue, and quickly switched to orange, then pink with the auto sensor turned on. Now, several days later, it is steadily on a blue and I have not smelled even a HINT of cat poo.
Further more, I am someone who has EXTREMELY bad allergies, and previously had Health Mate air purifiers. They were okay, but you never knew when to change the filter. I'm obviously new on this journey so I cannot attest to the validity of this feature, but I LOVE it shows the life of the filter.
With the seasonal change, and being in Minnesota, we're looking at several months of being shut indoors without much for airflow. I decided to invest in my home and come back and purchase THREE more of these as long as they have refurbished units available. One for the downstairs media room, one for the upstairs living/kitchen, and one for the master. These other three won't have the ultra mega pet filter with it (the rest of our house THANKFULLY doesn't smell, even with two dogs and two cats), but I will be upgrading to the Silver filter option.

Bought two and they both work very good. I like the auto sensor that turns the blower down when specific air cleanliness is reached.

Fit50 Bundle

Fantastic air purifyers and I have tried them all. Works as decribed. Only issue I have had out of the box was on one unit the lock button wont stay on(locked). Not a big issue since we have no kids. Didn't want to send it back for just that. I will wait til it needs other warranty work and get it fixed then. All the other buttons work great. Wife noticed a big improvement on dusting. We still both have some allergy issues even with these even though I upgraded to the filters with Silver. So they are great, but don't expect total resolution of your issues. At least we didn't.
