I am extremely disappointed with the FIT50 air purifier.

The problem is that it has a strong and unpleasant odor when it’s on. I was initially told that the problem was a bad group of filters (then why were they sent to me?). They offered to send me new ones. The new ones also smell terrible. If this problem isn’t fixed immediately, I will ask Alen to send it back to their factory and return why money.

Quieter than I thought it would be. Easily moved from living room to bedroom. The lights tell you what is happening unlike the last brand I had which had no communication. Did quite a bit of research before purchasing and I feel I made the right decision

First of all…our property is

First of all…our property is surrounded (literally) by farms…and for some time now, fescue grass (for seed) is the most prevalent crop grown here. Main crops in our vicinity used to be corn, wheat, barley, crimson clover, etc…due to market prices, etc., those days are now something of the past.
Having said that…ironically my wife has recently developed severe allergies to grass and pollens. Almost to the point of being ‘house bound’.
At her MD’s (Allergist) recommendation, we’ve researched and purchased two Alen products in hopes of making life easier and healthier for her.
Have only been using them for about a month..and with all due respect to evaluate the extent as to how beneficial our two units are…may…at least at this point in time…be premature. However…I have no reason, whatsoever, to doubt that our new Alen air purifiers will significantly improve the air-quality inside our home’s living space.
As for the appearance and level of noise…not a problem at all…both points receive an A+.
At this time we most certainly believe that we’ve made a well researched, thought-through, really good decision to purchase our new (two) Alen air purifiers.
I will most revise my comments if things change…but I cannot imagine having to do that. And to that extent…I certainly will recommend Alen air purifiers to future buyers.

Works really well

I bought an Alen BreatheSmart FIT50 with the silver filter because I was waking up every morning with a stuffed head and sore throat. My house is 777 sq ft, so the Alen FIT50 is a perfect size for my house. I installed the Alen FIT50 in my basement, set it on auto, and woke up the next morning with no stuffed head and no sore throat. My allergies had also led to itchy skin, and my skin is now itch-free!
