best tasting cup

my wife purchased this maker for me, after considerable research on my part. By reading so many reviews not only here but on other sites as well. This coffee maker fit the bill. I've always been a Bunn user but this time I tried something new. I was not disappointed in all aspects of this maker. Time, temperature, and flavor are all above any maker on the market. It has replaced my Bunn addiction so far every thing is favorable towards Mr. Coffee Optimal Brew. The only con is the odor from the carafe, but after about 20 pots the odor has not entirely gone away but it is getting better.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great coffeemaker

I love this Mr Coffee. Great tasting coffee. Love the removable water resevoir and the removable grounds basket. The only notable thing is that I keep the plastic cover off the water resevoir so that it does not get that odd smell.
I would recommend this to a friend!

If you want a quick brewing coffee pot, this is it! The carafe keeps coffe hot for a long time, too! We dislike the water filter/coffee grounds design and don't use the filter becauseit is inconvenient. It also does not come with a gold tone filter (as stated on the box).

I bought this, absolutely loved it! Then today 2 months after, the warming plate quits! I no longer have the receipt!!!

If you were to make ten cups of coffee, about three of those cups will make it straight to your counter top. Also the entire mid section of the coffee maker is coated with so much condensation that it drips and needs to be wiped down constantly. The brewing timer beeps to notify that the coffee is ready but it is still pouring out coffee. This is the worst coffee maker I have ever owned and is NOT worth the money. DO NOT BUY!

works good but bad timer

I bought it today and the clock runs slow and does not keep the time correctly. for the price the timer should be work right.

Very disappoint results!

Very disappointing!! I have used this coffee maker for one week as of today. The coffee maker does make hot (weak) coffee as advertised. The carafe is a great product. The disappointment that I am experiencing is a "bad" taste that lingers after drinking the coffee. I have tried three different brands of coffee that I was using prior to switching to this machine. All three coffee selections leave the "bad" taste. The only way that I can describe the taste is it like a lingering metallic sensation on the edge of your tongue. I have never experienced this taste in the past with other drip coffee makers and my stainless steel percolator. Have tried cleaning the machine with vinegar as recommended, three different brands of paper filters and have used tap, bottled and filtered water. I know this sounds strange as I am quite sure there is no metallic materials used in this coffee maker. The only thing that I can imagine is the type of plastic used in manufacturing. I think I will be returning for a refund as I have not enjoyed a single cup of coffee since day one. The other issue is that the machine brews so fast that additional coffee must be used to avoid a weak brew.
