Easy to brew

I have owned this for less than 6 months. Makes good coffee and keeps it hot. However today the spring opening on brew basket broke. AWFUL! This is the third coffee maker that I have purchased in the last year. Why don't they last?

I hope they make this model forever!

We wore out our first one and bought another. We have several favorite features and the best one, in both our opinions is the carafe. We are retired so we take our time drinking our coffee. I appreciate that the thermal carafe keeps our coffee hot for so long (2-3 hours). We love the detachable water tank because we keep our maker in a corner under cabinets and we just lift out the tank and set it back in. This feature eliminates the need to pull out the machine every time in order to fill the tank with the carafe. No need for that anymore and it's a great solution for us. We never use the programmable feature but we do really like having the ability to pour while it's still brewing. The only problem we ever had with leakage was when there was still coffee in the the carafe and we thought we could just fill the tank (as usual) to brew another full pot! OOPS! The last feature we appreciate is being able to slide the coffee filter out from the side to replace the grounds instead of having to lift a lid to do so. If Mr. Coffee discontinues this model, I hope our current one lasts forever.

very disappointed received as Christmas gift

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] received this Mr Coffee PSTX series as a Christmas present so very disappointed first brew was OK second- coffee grinds in coffee, changed filter, third time coffee all over the counter grinds everywhere. cleaned machine, nothing helped even changed coffee... received as gift too embarrassed to give it back...is there anything else I can do before I throw it out...HELP.. , very disappointed..
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Product

I have owned this coffeemaker for 5 plus years and I love it! I am scared that when it finally is time to purchase another one I won't be able to find another one just like this one. It has performed excellently for me every time I use it. It has never malfunctioned in anyway. Excellent product!!

Manufacturing and quality control is terrible

I bought this model a few years ago and loved it, but recently the brew button broke so I went and bought a new one last week. I have used it every day and yesterday it started leaking from the seam where the stainless steel meets the plastic. Not sure that I’ll keep with this brand anymore as I have lost faith in their quality.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good coffee when it works

This machine makes an excellent cup of coffee and keeps it warm as advertised. The problem is that the water reservoir is very persnickety and doesn't always sit down into the cradle correctly. I have not figured out what the trick is to make it sit right. When it DOESN'T sit right, which you cannot discern by looking at it, water floods the cradle and leaks out of the machine and doesn't run through the coffee grounds (and makes a mess, obviously). I'll be buying something else.
