optimal brew

best coffee pot i've ever owned ! i start drinking coffee at 5:00 am and quit about 8:00 pm... i know coffee makers. this coffee is never bitter, even after it's been in the pot for 2 or 3 hours. and after 2 hours or more, it's still hot. i'll use this until they quit making them.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worst product I've ever owned

Bought this coffee maker a few months ago. Worked for about a week then the wifi feature stopped working. Took it back got another did the exact same thing. This is a huge waste of money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought my PSTX series 2 weeks ago through Finger hut.
Pros-Its a very pretty machine...easy to use..seems easy to clean...thermos keeps coffee hot for about 3 hours. Fast brewing.
Cons- no heating element so if you forget to put the thermos top on, you'll have cold coffee in a half hour. Hard to clean the thermos unless you have a bottle brush. Have to use extra coffee grounds to make a decent cup of coffee (1 1/2 TBS per cup rather than 1 TBS per cup)

Excellent coffee maker priced exceptionally

I have been using this coffee maker for more than a year. The coffee it produces is beyond compare, always hot and the thermal carafe does what it should do. I purchased another one just like it in the event mine ceases to work.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Coffee Maker

I purchased this coffee maker to replace a Cuisinart that had wonderful reviews. Well, after 6 months it broke - so that sent me on a quest for a new machine. I was hesitant to buy one that had a thermal carafe, never had one before. After A LOT of research I decided on the Mr. Coffee Optimal Brew with Thermal Carafe. I've had this now for a couple of weeks and all I can say is WOW!
It makes a great cup of coffee. The features I enjoy - the fact that the water canister lifts off for me to fill is a huge plus! I'm short - no really short and had problems filling the reservoir from my Brita Pitcher. Now I can put it on the counter and the problem is solved. I really like the fact the basket also comes out for easy filling and cleaning! I love the fact that it has a timer so that when I get home in the morning from the gym my coffee is ready for me. Best of all, it makes a great and HOT cup of coffee. The flavor is the way it's supposed to be!
I am so happy with my coffee maker that I will now buy one for my condo to replace an old Cuisinart that is on it's last legs. Thank you Mr. Coffee for making such a great unit!

Better coffee with less grounds

When our coffee maker died for the second time in two years we decided to try a different brand. I am so pleased with this machine, the coffee it makes is absolutely wonderful! We find we use less grounds than before and The Carafe keeps coffee warm for a couple hours past the 2 hour setting and can even be reheated the next day via microwave and enjoyed without being stale or burnt. Love the bubbles that still appear at the top of the cup when poured the next day! Thanks for building a great product and selling it a value price!

Absolute JUNK!

I tried 4 times and couldn't get the coffee into the pot! It was all over my countertop and overflowing from the basket. Take this one off the market and do a better job in your design and testing of this one.
Apparently from the reviews this is a hit-or-miss problem, so if you're a gambler go ahead and purchase. My advice is to save your gas money from a trip to return it, and just buy a different model, and maybe a different make too!

Trash!

Carafe leaked with every use; I would say 1/2 cup or more on the counter. Has Mr.Coffee fixed the problem; I don't know/don't care, I tossed the machine in the trash! Also: 10 cups brewed in minute, Why? Drip coffee should be slowed brewed to extract the most flavor, so what seems to be an advantage to those that know little about coffee is in fact a disadvantage. With that said: Mr. Coffee Cafe Barista is a fantastic machine; use it several times a day without a hitch!
