Fast Coffee

This is our 2nd Mr. Coffee coffee maker like this. Never a problem with either. We had the 1st for a long time and saved the carafe when we bought the 2nd. The only reason we bought the 2nd was because the first was slowing down and needed to be cleaned more.

We have had this coffee maker over 6 months now and I love it. The coffee stays hot... we have actually still had "warm" coffee 24 hours later. I love the separate water reservoir and the filter and the clean indicator. I haven't had any issues at all so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is the best coffee maker I've ever used. It keeps coffee warm without the burnt taste because it has a thermal carafe. Coffee tastes better because of the filtration features. Very happy and I've had it for roughly three years now.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I’ve loved this model in the past so I got another one. Since I got it in May 2017, it’s constantly leaking all over, allowing coffee grounds through among other things. Highly disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Do Not Buy This Coffee Maker

I purchased my second Mr. Coffee 10 cup coffee maker 11 months ago to replace one I had for two years but could no longer use because the digital timer became so dim I could no longer read it to set time or program. Even though I saw reviews warning about this I couldn't believe Mr. Coffee wouldn't have fixed this problem. Boy was I wrong, it appears they just don't care! Second coffee maker has the same problem, even with all lights off you still cannot read the display.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Chronic Design Flaw - Overflows filter basket

Great coffee maker provided you never need more than 4 cups....beyond that useless,, filter basket overflows onto counter with grounds everywhere including ruined coffee in carafe. Same problem with metal or paper filters. Most of negative reviews on-line are this same complaint which Mr. Coffee always responds with no suggestions but to call their help line. I did that just in case I could avoid throwing this appliance into the dumpster and never buying another Mr. Coffee appliance again. Unfortunately the complaint line response was no acknowledgement of this clearly chronic problem and since its barely out of the warranty period, tough luck.

Oh no, that is frustrating! If you are noticing grounds in your coffee, check to see if the paper filter is collapsing during use. If it is, we recommend slightly dampening the edges of the filter so that it adheres to the brew basket. If it is not, then the issue lies with the pause and serve hinge on the bottom of the brew basket itself. If this is not working correctly, the coffee cannot drain into the decanter quickly enough and it'll flood the brew basket and overflow. In the case of the latter, a new brew basket would resolve the issue.
