Confused but got the hang of it

I just bought this coffee maker Thursday. I had problems at 1st the pot had coffee running all over my counter. I noticed that it's didn't have a filter (all my older coffee makers had a reusable one). So I had to go and buy a pack of paper filters and I haven't had any problems since. This pot gives me the same taste that I get from some of my favorite coffee shops. I love everything about this machine.

Leaks always did! Now the buttons stopped working or work very intermittently. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COFFEE MAKER!!!

Very Disappointed, Did not Expect That.

I clean the machine as instructed and after cleaning the water will not move through reservoir. The machine is working but the water just stays in the reservoir. What a disappointment...The base of the unit has rusted and the screws are all rusted out. The machine should not rust like that, its disappointing. Perhaps a different unit will not rust.

Awesome machine!

Bought this coffee machine a week ago. And I Love it! This is my first Mr Coffee product. Previously used either Krupps or Cuisinart. This time I checked reviews of machines carefully along with features. My Mr Coffee is a winner! Love all the features and coffee tastes great. Keeps hot for at least 3 hours & tastes as good as the first cup! Even after that time, it's still warm so the thermal feature works great! Would definitely recommend.

STAY AWAY!

A week after we bought it, it started overflowing from the brew basket. The carafe leaks when you pour, and it is not the lid, it is the actual carafe itself. Leaks into the internal of the main body while brewing. Requires weekly cleaning even though we use the carbon filter AND filtered water. In short, a complete nightmare..
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

All my coffee maker does is make a long beep at me. It won't brew, it won't clean. I love my maker and just want it to workable again.

Outstanding Pot of Coffee

I've been using this coffee maker for almost six years. It makes an outstanding pot of coffee, BUT you need to use good coffee to begin with. Not Folgers, or some other low-end, weak, drip coffee ground. Also, I've found that I need to grind my beans a little finer, and I use a brown, non-bleached, filter for better flavor. One last thing, the included water filter has always made it taste worse. Chuck it.

Can't see clock display

If there is any light on in the kitchen, you cannot see the clock display. Setting the time is a bit difficult since you have to turn out all the lights and use a flashlight to find the buttons, once you have the button you have to turn that off so you can see the numbers changing. And yes, it's on the "bright" setting. Other than that, it makes a good pot of coffee.
