10 cup Mr Coffee optimal brew

Basically replaced our old one that quit working, think pump fonally went out. Obviously like it because replaced with same coffee pot. There are done design changes I wish they would have left alone but for most part we love or Mr. Coffee

Display will stop working properly!

I was so excited to purchase this machine. The machine does make a nice cup of coffee. However, a few months after purchasing this machine the display started to go dim and now the information it provides is useless because I can't see it. This machine is way overpriced for the quality of the product. I can only hope Mr. Coffee will provide a solution as they say their products should last for YEARS.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been drinking paint chips!!!

We bought this product a year ago and this morning when I was rinsing the carafe, noticed black chips coming out from the inside of the carafe. Upon further inspection of the inside of the "thermal" carafe, I was sickened to see the "stainless steel" inside showing through almost half of the side and bottom. This means I have been drinking these chips in small amounts for quite some time...and didn't notice because there were always so many grounds in my cup that I wouldn't have seen it. Feeling like a refund is not in order, but a recall should be. People can't be ingesting whatever enamel they are using to paint the inside of these carafes, it is NOT okay. Promptly throwing this poison factory in the garbage.

Timer does not illuminate

I got this almost 3 years ago, wonderful product. However the display no longer illuminates. Unfortunate, since now i cant use the delay brew feature. It was easier to prepare my coffee and set my desired time to start brewing. Is there a fix for this? If not i will end up purchasing a new coffee maker.

Brew basket leaks

Thing looks good brews well but the plunger in brew basket has a d sign flaw, I've had to replace it 2x in 4months and it's in the fritz again , don't think I'm gonna do 3x

I like the pot, but I HATE this coffee maker.

This is the second time I have bought this particular style from Mr. Coffee on the hope that the last one we had was just a fluke , but no. Repeatedly this pot overflows whenever we brew anything over 6 cups. Even at 6 cups it will do a partial brew where I think it is done brewing, pull out the pot to get a cup and it starts brewing again while the pot is out of the coffee maker. Not only does this make a mess but it makes the first cup very weak. I hate when people only do negative reviews so I will say once the coffee maker is done brewing the carafe keeps the coffee warm for a very long time which I love. Also, the carafe is super strong and does not break if it is dropped(which is how we lost our last coffee maker and carafe thanks 2 year old!). Maybe there is a secret I don't know on how to make this coffee maker work, but this is the second one I have owned and not only I but numerous friends and family have all had the overflow situation.
