Big disappointment!

Disappointing Coffee

This coffee maker makes weak coffee even from the darkest blend. As best as I can tell the basket simply doesn't hold onto the coffee long enough and so the water just drips through too fast to collect the taste of the beans. It might also be that the water hits the coffee in the basket in a small area rather than spreading over the coffee. I do see some evidence of this in the used grounds. I called Mr Coffee and they sent me a replacement but it is really not any better. I love the features of this coffee maker, but it is really about taste. Time to unpack the French press.

Super Easy

Just bought this coffee maker about a week ago, and compared to the previous pot we had, this one is much easier to use. My husband always wants a removable water tank, which is why I chose this one. My elderly mother lives with us, and rises much later than we do, so I used to have to pour any remaining coffee in a separate thermal carafe for her. This carafe, eliminates that step, plus keeps it fresher. The parts (water tank, filter basket, and carafe) all fit easily and snugly into place without having to struggle with anything (like the last pot). Plus, the pot automatically turns off when brewing is complete; another bonus. I like the bright white lights on the buttons, and unlike our old pot, nothing spills or drips when you pour the coffee! First pot we've ever had that did not make a mess when pouring. I honestly love it, and would highly recommend it.

Broken out of the box

Well the coffee maker clock is broken it will not set so the delay timer also will not set. I have the exact same coffee maker (quit working after a year) right next t to it and I can set the clock on it so it's not my clock setting skills. How about a little quality control. I have purchased this model previously and all have broke within a year this one didn't even last the first use a complete waste of money. No more Mr Coffee for me

I bought this drip brewer to use in our office (20+ coffee drinkers), replacing a Bonavita machine, based on three key factors. First, it performs the primary task of brewing very well, with proper temperature (205F) and positive reviews on taste. Second, Mr. Coffee offers the carafe separately at a very affordable price, so we can be drinking from one while a second is brewing and effectively never run out of brewed coffee (if everyone follows the rule of starting another brew after emptying a pot). Third, the carafe has a brew-through lid so the coffee is thermally insulated after brewing and stays hot until needed. (This was the downfall of the Bonavita machine that does not have a brew-through lid.)
We did have an issue with coffee overflowing the basket occasionally during the brew cycle when we were using a metal mesh filter and a half cup of beans per batch (measured before grinding), but that problem seems to have been resolved by switching to paper filters. All in all, I would recommend this brewer highly.

No "time" for great coffee!

We have owned this coffee maker for two (2) years now and it has made great coffee from the start. The only problem we have is that about a month or two after we bought it, the digital clock light started to get weaker and weaker until you can't see it, making the delay brew feature unuseable. It still makes great coffee and the cleaning cycle has always worked perfectly. We really love having a metal carafe so we don't have to deal with the problems of glass carafes (burnt coffee, broken glass, etc.) When this machine quits on us I will probably by another in the hopes that this one's problem is just a glitch in this particular machine or perhaps the way it got handled in the shipping to the retail store. However, given the other problems with this model that are in the other reviews, if I have another problem I will immediately return that one and abandon this maker altogether!

Keeps coffee hot for hours!!

We've had Bunn makers for over 20 years. My brother gave us this coffeemaker after our last one died. It's amazing. Coffee tastes great and stays warm forever! I'm so happy.

Seems to be built with warranty in mind

I have had this maker for just over a year and now it is starting to break down. The biggest issue is the lcd display. It is not viewable any more so setting a delay brew is now impossible.
