Still going strong!

I bought this coffee pot for two reasons: 1. My old pot died a quick, painful death after six months, and 2. This is a beautiful coffee pot that matched my appliances. I bought with the notion I would probably be taking it back because it's like all the rest, but hoping that after paying that much it would actually work. I drink coffee all day, I know it's terrible, but I do!!! This pot has surprised me from the get go with its ability to stay hot for hours upon hours! It brews extremely fast, and I don't have to move the mavhine in and out to fill anything, BONUS! I unfortunately got a pot that someone else had opened for the directions, so I had to hunt on line for those when it came time to clean it. 10 months in and I've had no issues whatsoever! No leaks, no slow brews! Mr Coffee helped create a completely happy coffee conessuer!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good coffee, bad pause feature

Good experience for more than a year now and I would recommend if not for one major issue. When you pull out the carafe, the plastic pause lever may pop out. Irritating, but easy enough to fix. However, if the lever pops out when you try to "Grab-a-Cup" during the brew cycle, another story. If you try to put the lever back into its slots, you will invariably open the valve and the 205 degree coffee will run onto your hands. That keeps me from recommending an otherwise good coffee maker.
This is my second optimal brew. Love it. Carafe keeps coffee hot longer than 2 hours. Coffee tastes great. My husband & I both are very pleased. Easy to use & clean. I definitely would recommend this product. The first coffee maker after a couple of years the clean light kept coming on even after the first pot I brewed after cleaning. Very annoying. Got rid of it & not afraid to buy another. If this happens again I will call support.

Died after the first use!?!

Received this coffee maker as a gift and loved the appearance, but only got to use it once before it completely died on me! User manual offers no tips other than to wait until the power comes on or check to see if coffee maker is unplugged... First time owning a Mr. Coffee product, not very confident in the quality.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Still works great after 6 months

We love this coffee maker. So far it's performed perfectly. The only time it hasn't is when we did something wrong like adding too much coffee or not inserting the carafe all the way. The instructions recommend using a permanent filter 'for better results'. We already had a filter so we can't say if it is truly better. The only complaint is we would have preferred a 12 cup carafe.

I bought this 1 year ago and I clean it like it says but kept getting a bad smell from the removable water reservoir so I looked where it sits on top of and there is water just there decided to wipe it out and it was black mold.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great coffee maker, with one big flaw.

This is an excellent coffee maker. Rapid brew time, stays hot in the carafe for a long time, easy to clean. The big problem is the clock display gets dimmer and dimmer, and now after 8 months it is unreadable even at night. Which makes it impossible to set the clock for an automatic brew. So no coffee ready for you in the morning.
