I love the coffee maker as I have worked in a office drinking burnt coffee it seems like forever. With the Thermal carafe it keeps the coffee hot for just the right amount of time without the burnt taste.
I have been a Mr. Coffee user for 25 years+. This coffee maker is mediocre at best. The thermal pot somewhat keeps the coffee hot. It's not consistent. There should have been a heated plate under it. It's also too many steps. I dont care for the detachable water reservoir and the lid that is not attached to anything. I had my last Mr. Coffee coffee maker for over ten years and literally did not have one issue. I paid less than $30 for it. More expensive and prettier does not mean it works better. Im thinking about sending back and getting the same coffee maker I had before.....If it aint broke.....disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A friend bought this coffee maker about 5 months ago and I was impressed with how the coffee tasted and how hot it stayed in the thermal pot for hours on end. So after my last 2 Mr.Coffee makers died (different model) after a year each, I hesitantly decided to bite the bullet and buy this model despite some of the negative reviews. Hopefully my decision won't come back and bite me in the rear end. So far it's all good and I really love it. Even after 7 hours my coffee will stay "very warm" and just as fresh as I first brewed it in the morning. It's amazing! Now my friend did say hers did leak but only when she used the charcoal filter. She took that whole thing off her filter basket and she hasn't had a problem since. I decided to try mine with it on first and no leaks as of this moment.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had this coffee pot for about 6. I Love it. BUT the light went out so I can't program it to brew in the a.m. I get up at a.m. and have to commute and I really love the delay brew but I can't set it or the time. Will have to purchase new coffee pot. And no, I do not want to get up earlier to make coffee.

I love the way it makes the coffee, so easy. I don't have to clean it for 90 cycles and cleaning is super easy.
I have gone through every kind of coffee maker there is. I serve coffee in my clinic and we use about 32 cups per day on average. this is a work horse and it makes great coffee. It is fresh, hot and the coffee maker tells you the time since brewing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had two now. Coffee tastes great but clock, timer & cleaner goes out too quickly. Neither coffee maker lasted a year.
