Makes good coffee but overall unimpressed

The clean light comes on all the time, it usually doesn't make it thru a clean cycle, if it does, it comes back on in a day or two. When the clean light is on it takes a half an hour to brew.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Leaks

The coffee maker leaks. It worked okay for the first couple days and the it began leaking - a lot of money for a product that is so cheap to ail so quickly. Poor quality...

Poor Brewing

Bought this at my local Target store about 5 mo ago. Been using it occasionally since. Sadly, I only use it occasionally because it does a poor job of brewing. Major complaints with brewing are a (too) short contact time with the coffee and the drip system doesn't distribute water evenly so the center of the coffee grounds remains dry/unused. Perhaps I should have expected the too short contact time as Mr. Coffee specifically lists this as brewing quickly, but the uneven water distribution is entirely unacceptable. As the water is coming through a filter, I have both used it and not used it; I've also (futilely) tried to shake the filter to change it a bit. None of this improves water distribution. This coffee maker does a worse job than any basic $12 drip machine I've ever used. Definitely go looking elsewhere for you next coffee maker.

Good Coffee Maker, BUT LET IT BE KNOWN...

...that you have to change the filter every month (or not use it). Once the filter gets old, it will make weak coffee. We use good water, so we are not using the filter at all and it makes strong coffee.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Missing 1 important feature

We bought this coffee pot only because it was the only one I could find with a removable Water Resivor. I really wanted a 12 cup but had to settle. The only major problem with this coffee pot is that you can not turn it back on after the 2 hour brew time. We like to have coffee all day and we're use to just turning it back on to keep it nice and hot. Other than it missing this 1 key function, in my opinion, it is a good coffee maker.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor way to start morning

I had to replace my thermal coffee pot so decided to try Mr Coffee. What a let down. Filter basket takes two hands to empty (lid falls down). The "Fresh Brew" light is waste of energy (seriously). Turn off machine, but still beeps 2 hrs later(?). Push button on carafe is hard for people with weak wrist. Coffee comes out of hole on top of carafe, and spills down on counter. Worst of all is time line of HOT COFFEE. Maybe 30 mins!!! and no way it's 205 degrees!! (more like 170)The whole purpose of thermos is to take up to bedroom. My old coffee pot kept it hot for 4-5 hours. Like I said what a let down.
