Nice concept

OMG for 2 weeks it was fine love it and the coffee tastes great. GRRRRRR but today 3 times i tries to find out why i had to mop my floor, clean my silverware, and do laundry since the coffee maker decided it wanted to purge all over my kitchen instead of in the pot so unhappy what a pain to return things even if thy give money back they don't pay you back for your time and inconvienence.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Well , in the past , say , 4 to 5 years , we bought 4 of these coffee makers , some for gifts , but all leaked , that's $ 400.00 to $ 500.00 spent ! " NOT AGAIN "

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We're sorry to hear about this. If our coffee maker is leaking, please check the following: - Check the hose in the reservoir. Make sure it is snug on connection. - Check the filter basket for any drips down the back of the basket onto the trip arm and warming plate.

Why for the love of God would someone put the CLEAN button so close to the BREW button. And Why, WHY does it take HOURS to clean. Once the CLEAN button is press there is no way to cancel the clean cycle even when you unplug it. Do You Understand how upsetting it is when you just want a cup of coffee and you are tired AND you just happen to hit the wrong button because you have NOT had your morning coffee, AND now you have to WAIT hours to get it? It make a person want to find the maker of the coffee machine and write a bad review much like this one. I'll still give it two stars because when I don't hit the clean button in error, it does make coffee.

Won't brew, just beeps

Bought this in the fall for the office - just for clients, so rarely used. I got it to work twice, now it won't do anything except beep - one long continuous beep. I made sure the water was full and everything is seated properly. I turned the machine off for 2 minutes and turned it back on. I moved the little red reminder thing to every month, to no avail. When I hit the brew button, it just beeps.

Used to be Great But The Great Have Fallen

A little history: I purchased one of these many years ago and it was great. The display finally failed but the rest of the unit still works great after almost 10 years. However, when the display died we needed a new one so we could program it. The reviews we read really made us think twice but we thought we would give it a try. The first one we ordered that came had carafe lid that would not open properly and so it would not pour coffee faster than a dribble. I compared my old lid with the née one and knew it was not just defective, it was just more cheaply made. Always willing to give things another try I arranged for a replacement to be sent.
The replacement came and the carafe itself leaked coffee from the seams. I was bummed to say the least. Since the replacement came quickly, I was able to return both coffee makers at the same time. That was the only positive side of the whole set of transactions.

Easy to use, terrible coffee

Got for our wedding, replaced a vintage percolator for this one. The coffee tastes horrible, has a very chlorinated aftertaste or something. Very easy to use, makes hot coffee. Disappointed with the taste. Have tried several different coffees,both expensive and average. Did not help :( stuck with it now because I threw away box, thought for sure the taste would go away once we "broke" it in.

Great Coffee

This unit brews the coffee hot enough that I have to let it sit before I can drink it. It stays hot for hours and we have been very pleased with it. Until after about a year it started leaking the water out of the reservoir overnight. We like to set the timer and wake up to our coffee, but lately we are waking up to 8 cups of water all over the countertop.

We use this coffee maker at the office and the coffee gets burned really easily.
