"Cleaning" light came on all by itself

Up till now, things were fine. The "Cleaning" light came on all by itself. According to the manual, there is no automatic warning light that pops on when it's time to clean. Manual says that as long as the light is on, the cleaning cycle is in progress. It won't reset when power is removed. I paid good money for this coffeemaker just 5 months ago and I would expect it to perform "glitch-free" for at least a year. Is there anyone who makes a coffemaker with a thermal carafe the is happy just being a coffeemaker? Not all of us need all the bells and whistles that keep being added to the makers. Even seen coffee pot that connects to WiFi.

I'm sorry for any trouble you've had and I'd like to offer some troubleshooting which may help you.The cleaning light will not turn off unless you run the cleaning function in its entirety (this will take 45 minutes). Also, be sure to make sure that you at least unplugged your PSTX for at least 2-3 minutes. This allow your brewer to do a soft reset. If this continues, please give us a call at 1-800-672-6333. Overflows

I’ve had it less than a month it over flows all over a lot. I threw box out so can’t return disappointed!!

Odor

You must empty the reservoir and drain the coffee maker daily, or else a mildewy odor will build-up. Other than that, no problems. It is a fast brewer.

DO NOT BUY! Defective design!

This has a very poorly designed lever system that falls apart and overflows making a huge mess! The lever is behind the pot and when pressed, opens a hole for the coffee to flow into the carafe. When the lever falls out (which you don't know because you can't see it behind the pot) the hole isn't open and the brewed coffee comes out the top of the maker going everywhere! Ruining things on the countertop, running down into drawers and onto the floor. Hot coffee is not good for the finish on cabinets. This whole mess is especially enjoyable at 5 a.m. when the auto brew feature kicks on!

No coffee filter?!

I just purchased this coffee maker this evening. As I open the box to get the machine ready for brewing coffee for the morning I find a water filter but no coffee filter(s)? Why would you sell a coffee maker with no coffee filters? And why would you sell a maker with a water filter that recommends using a permanent coffee filter but you don't include that permanent filter in the box?? This thing better end up making great coffee whenever I can get it going because we're off to a bad start with no coffee filter....

Unfortunately, paper filters are not included, but they can be purchased at most major retailers or grocery stores. worst coffee maker ever

why do companies have to add all these stupid bells and whistles to a typically simple product. this is the coffee maker for someone with nothing better to do but among all the breakfasts,getting kids dressed get the dogs out, i now have to unscrew a bunch of lids while not actually knowing how much coffee is in the stainless pot. i HATE this coffee pot. the only thing good about it is that it was a gift so i didn't have to buy it. unfortunately my wife threw the old one out so we could have this waste of space on the counter. i'm taking this piece of trash outside right now to destroy it with a sledge hammer out of sheer frustration as enjoyment

Worst Coffeemaker Ever!

There is no warming plate! States makes better, hotter, faster coffee? within 15 min. of brewing a pot its cool not warm. States it is a 10 cup? More like barely 4 cups. Coffee Basket loads from the side so you have to allow for double the space of the coffeemaker itself to allow removal and replace. Water fills from top. Why not both? Thermal Carafe? It does not work or keep coffee hot! You get warmer coffee from cheap plastic carafe iHop leaves on your table when your order coffee. Bad design Mr. Coffee! Had the coffeemaker 2 weeks and am returning it today to the place of purchase for a FULL & COMPLETE REFUND!
